*** coming soon to a RISC OS machine near you ***

Well, there's a new wimp filer etc. though as i'm about to go on holiday
i don't like the idea of releasing it yet- There have been some major
changes post Medusa. If you want to see what it looks like, there's a
Libra prototype machine where Phil Harriss used to sit. If you really
really want it now, then there's a !NewDesk3 disc on my mouse mat (please
return it if you borrow it) - You'll notice that installation has changed.

What's new?

        The Filer...

Choice of single or double clicking to launch an application/ open a doc

Applications no longer have a '!' at the beginning, and have italicised text

The title bar of a directory display shows the leaf name (except in full info mode)

        The Wimp...

Some techie bits (including a new button type and run time extendable icons)

Sticky Menus 3 - you can now click on the pinboard to get rid of them, but
clicking on a window's furniture wont.

        FreeSpace...

Now uses a piechart instead of those bars

If you play with the prototype, you'll notice we've installed a Bubble Help app and demo
front end to !Printers (non-functional sadly).

See you in a fortnight,

Neil.

ps. I'd be grateful for any feedback on the above, also some of you have not informed me
whether you want to hear about prototypes/programmer info in the future. If i don't hear
from you - i'll assume that you are NOT interested in prog'er info.
