Stacked Up

After last summer's cool outdoor concerts, Senser have released
their debut album. Their concerts are the sort of thing that makes
your body rush for it's adrenaline (you may have seen this year's
Glastonbury festival on the TV), but could this live effect be
recreated on CD? "Stacked Up" contains all the songs you know, "The
Key", "Switch" and "Eject", but there are a lot more potential
singles on the album such as "Age of Panic" and "What's going on?".

As for the music, there's quite a lot of heavy thrash guitar, funky
bass lines, along with Hietham Al-Sayed's precise rap and Kirsten
Haigh to balance the vocal harmonies. There are a few mellower tunes
though, with the techno track "Peace", as well as "Door Game" and
"Worth:".

Although the lyrics are full of anti-racist and anti-fascist riffs,
singer, Heitham, does not want to be part of a 100% politically
correct group. I think that they have probably got the balance just
right on each of the thirteen tracks.

Get it soon before your local record store sells out, and see if
Senser are playing in your area, as I believe they are still on a
national tour.

9/10
