First 24 bit art package is PD!
{fon:tri}

  The first 24 bit art package on the Arc is a PD program
(shareware). Previewed in the Acorn User PD Issue, Fine Art has
finally hit the streets; so what is it all about? With Acorn's now
capable of producing sprites in 24 bit colour (see the article on
the Risc PC) the race was on as commercial software developers were
trying to get a package out which took advantage of this new
technology, but Fine Art by Barry Alcock was the first to enter the
new 24 bit play pen. The best thing is that we mere mortals who have
only got machines with 256 colours can use it. So why isn't there a
review of it then? Because it is a very big we are waiting to issue
three so that we can do an in-depth review. If you can't wait until
then, it is available from APDL, Five star marketing and the Datafile.
Or you can obtain a registered version, the registration fee is
15.00 and a cheque for this amount, made payable to Mr B S Alcock,
should be sent to:
