When rendering, even before the mighty Mike told
me about it, I move certain modules into RAM and
take other electronic counter-measures designed
to speed up rendering. In fact many art programs
and applications which do a fair bit of maths will
benefit from the routines here-in. You can also
speed up the ROM (many PD utilities do this) but
I have heard this is not reccommended on Arm250's
but you know how these rumours get around. A good
way to speed up rendering is to re-route POVRay
towards creating its temporary file within the
RAM disk. This munches memory. What the heck, you
ain't gonna run Impression at the same time, right?
