Using !Paint to the full
________________________

I know what you're thinking - this is gonna be another
of those boring articles always found in magazines, about
how to use the programs on the Apps disks. Well that is
what this is about, but it should give you ideas for how
to use Paint in ways you've probably never thought of
before.

Although I use Archrome for creating graphics on the
Arc, I always use paint to manipulate them, tidy them up
and get all the sprites together into one file. Because of
this regular use, I've picked up quite a few tips on the
subject.

The first and probably most useful tip is a method of
converting sprites between different modes. Simply display
the sprite you want to convert, on the screen (with Paint)
then change the screen mode with the pallete, to the mode
you want your sprite to be converted to. Finally, select
"get screen area" from Paint's icon bar menu, and grab the
sprite from the screen. This method is quick, and will
automatically resize the sprite when you convert between
modes with different pixel sizes (eg. mode 15 to mode 13).
