As we are only in the first issue, I cannot judge
exactly what New Dawn will look like in future issues, but
we hope to maintain the same standard of software as in
this issue. Tom Cooper, the master of coding has pledged
to provide at least one of his high quality arcade games
an issue (as long as they aren't vector games eh Tom!!!).
EXEL will also keep the trackers rolling out (as long as
his modulator/mouse/computer/disk drive/etc. works), and I
hope to provide plenty of simulators.

Now just a quick note to anyone who thinks this
magazine should work in the desktop : No way. (Well I
suppose I'd better give more of an explanation than that:)
Risc OS Desktop is very good (the best GUI in my opinion)
but everything does not have to multi task all the time.
Things written for the desktop generally tend to be slow,
and lacking in original colour (you can't really change
the pallete), not to mention the fact that it's just
slightly easier to write a non multi tasking program!
(EXEL - I wondered if you'd get to that one).

It's pretty hectic here at QUANTUM at the moment, with
all the software we're working on. I've started work on a
rather detailed flight simulator which I'm producing with
Nick van der Walle, QUANTUM is doing it's first Megademo,
we've got a couple of other commercial games on the go,
