File Conversion - Amiga to Arc
______________________________

Despite the abundance of PC emulators, converters and
DOS disk readers, there are no Amiga disk readers or
emulators available on the Archie. So how are all those
Amiga sound trackers converted to the Archimedes?

One way to port software across, is to link an Amiga
and Archie together, and transfer the data directly. This
is obviously quite tricky, and if you don't know what
you're doing then its time for some repairs to your
computer.

There is a much easier solution to this problem, and it
relies on the abundance of the PC related software
mentioned above. The simple answer (seemingly overlooked
by many people) is to get hold of some Archie PD that lets
you read and write to PC DOS disks, and some Amiga PD that
does the same. Programs that do this are readily
available, and the best ones are described below. You can
then write Amiga PD to a PC disk, and then put it into
your Archie and copy it to ADFS.

But why should a self respecting Archie user ever want
to port anything over from THAT computer? Well the answer
