A multiplayer 'Scorched Earth' clone, similar to TANKS, which was reviewed
in the Febuary '97 issue of Acorn User. This game was released about 8
months beforehand, and features 5 music tracks and loads of sound and
speech.
2-4 players are put in tanks on screen on a variety of different undulating
terrains or the coverless 'dust bowl', and take it in turns to hurl 22
different bombs, missiles and uncategorisable weapons at each other.
They can defend themselves with shields, targeting systems, fuel for
movement and a host of other items, but can be hampered by the landscape,
wind and the 'walls' which enclose the play area.
All these items can be bought from the 'shop', and players gain money to
spend in it by winning games.
