This is !DaysLeft+ version 2.51
-------------------------------

This is another desktop silly to add to the vast collection already
available in the public domain. It will only work in December (unless your
CMOS clock is wrong) and if you try loading it in the other eleven months
of the year, the program will reject itself.

Anyway, this program, on the hour and every half hour (ie. the o'clocks and
the half pasts) will tell you the number of days left until Christmas Day
plus a silly message. If you use it after Christmas Day, it will wish you
a Happy New Year instead but as soon as Big Ben strikes twelve on New Year's
Eve, the program will reject itself in the usual fashion as it will no longer
be December of course.

If you want to get rid of the program, use the task display options from the
Task Manager, or, when the window appears, double click on the blue Quit icon
at the bottom on the left.

Use in good health

History
-------

Version 1.00 - Accidentally deleted in a moment of freak panic
Version 2.00 - Left out the Wimp_CloseDown routine
Version 2.10 - Put in the Wimp_CloseDown routine
Version 2.11 - Tidied up the program a bit
Version 2.12 - Got rid of the GOTOs! I'm sure I was drunk when I wrote this
               at first
Version 2.13 - For some reason, spontaneous "%" signs appeared in the silly messages, fixed now
Version 2.14 - Made it faster, it used to make the computer very sluggish.
Version 2.51 - Major changes:
Now uses own window, keeping computer multitasking
Easier to get rid of with quit icon
No longer beeps, so no longer annoys (so much!)

This program is Public Domain, HOWEVER : You may change the silly messages
within the program and re-release it with your name in the help file but
as long as my name is not deleted. Please note that you can get into some
serious trouble if you do this with any other software.
