Lion King Clipart
=================

The Clipart in this collection has been converted from PC format BMP
files. The copyright of the 138 images remains Disneys and a
registration fee is payable to them. Please see the file Copyright
for details.

The collection is provided in three ArcFS archives and each image is
numbered. As the numbering system tells you nothing about the content
of each image, I have also provided three Index files which consist of
thumbnail views of the collection. (The indexes may not be supplied if
you obtained the collection on a single 800K disc due to lack of
space.)

Firstly ensure you are using a 256 colour (or greater) screen mode. On
older machines this might be Mode 28 or Mode 15. You should open the
index files by double clicking on them to load them into Paint. You
may view the thumbnails in Paints sprite file window, but do not
double click THESE imagesthey are just small versions of the real
thing. Instead, when you have chosen the image you want, find the
individual file of the same name and EITHER:
double click on it to open it in Paint
  OR
drag it into the document you wish it to appear in.

The Acorn conversions were created using a combination of !Translator,
!Creator (both by John Kortink) and !ChangeFSI. The BMP files
contained up to 16 colours, but as the 16 colours used by the Acorn
Wimp are different ones, you should use a 256 colour screen mode to
view them. Where possible without losing any colour information, I
have reduced the number of colours in each image to the minimum
necessary in order to save memory and disc space. The Indexes were
made using ChangeFSI to create small 256 colour reductions of the
images. Incidentally, these thumbnails are far superior to normal
Sprite File Window displays despite being smaller in some cases.

If, in addition to registering the clipart with Disney, you would like
to recognise the hours I spent doing the conversion, a small gift such
as a disc (800K) with your childrens artistic creations using the
Lion King pictures, some PD programs or clipart, or a book of British
postage stamps would be appreciated.
