Welcome to this demonstration version of

                          RHAPSODY2 and VOXSYNTH
                          ======================

Both programs are complete working versions of the real thing with the
following exceptions:

Neither program will allow you to load or save data. Rhapsody
automatically loads four scores for you to play and modify. VoxSynth loads a
default module which you can edit to create a huge range of new sounds. The
only restriction here is that the module contains only one instead of eight
voices, and it will only work if it is the first voice installed (so you
can't load multiple copies of the same module!)

In addition, this version of Rhapsody will allow you to try out the
formatting and printing features, but it only prints the first page of a
score, and also prints a grey stripe down the middle. The 'hot link' to
!Scoredraw has also been disabled.

I am sorry to have to ruin my programs like this, but if you want to
get hold of the real thing, give Clares a ring on 0606 48511. Quote your
credit card number and they will send you one today via first class post.
Alternatively pop a cheque in the post.

In order to appreciate the power of these programs, load up both
programs at the same time. You will find that you can edit the demonstration
voice at the same time that Rhapsody is using it!. You can draw new waves by
hand (by dragging the SELECT button over the green CRO type display), you
can add or remove harmonics (in the yellow window using the SELECT and
ADJUST buttons) or you can play around with the amplitude and pitch
envelopes. In an instant, you can swop from playing Handel on a harpsichord
to playing Handel on a drainpipe!

NOTE: To hear the Rhapsody tunes correctly run Rhapsody on its own.
Loading VoxSynth replaces the voices used in the tunes with a sample voice
module which you can edit.

Rhapsody2 comes with a whole host of new features which greatly
enhances its capabilities and usefulness. Two new modes of entry of data
have been added - a step time mode for entering notes from a MIDI keyboard
and a facility to drag notes and other symbols onto the score from the panel
window. (Use the MENU button for this). In addition, the printout has been
improved and lots of other features have been added, too numerous to
mention.

VoxSynth is one of a suite of three programs which also includes
VoxSample (a program for turning sampled sounds into a voice module) and
VoxBeat (which allows you to create a single voice module containing up to
12 different sampled sounds - eg a drumkit). In addition, you get a fourth
program, Perform, which enables you to construct a complete programme of
Rhapsody and other pieces which are then played in sequence.

Rhapsody2 and VoxBox are available from:

          Clare's Micro Supplies,
          98 Middlewich Road,
          Rudheath,
          Northwich,
          Cheshire,
          CW9 7DA.

At the time of writing both programs are priced at 52.72 Ex VAT (61.95 inc VAT) each.

If you already have the first version of Rhapsody, send your original
disc back to Clares together with 13.19 Ex VAT (15.50 inc VAT) for your upgrade.

Here's to many happy hours of music making!
