Operating instructions
======================

Load smArt by double-clicking on the !smArt icon.

Load a smArt file by either double clicking on its icon or dragging the icon
onto the smArt icon on the icon bar.

Parts of the picture can be changed in two ways:

1. Move the pointer into the smArt window, press the Menu button, and
   choose from the 'Objects' submenu

2. Click the Select button over an object and choose from the menu.


Full view and Zoom
==================

By default Full view is selected. This ensures that the complete picture is
always seen. To magnify the picture: deselect Full view and then use the
Zoom facility. Alternatively, you may zoom using the up and down arrow keys.
'Home' restores the magnification to 1:1.


Saving
======

In the published version of smArt a picture may be saved as a Draw file.


Files
=====

The files supplied with this demo disc have been selected from several
different packs of smArt files.

"Al Orange" is supplied with the main smArt package.
"de devant" is an edited version of a file in the "Faces" pack.
"Grillparty" is taken from the "Leisure" pack.
"Cartref" is taken from the "Homes" pack.
"Display" and "Meal" are taken from the "Modern Languages" pack.

The "Faces", "Homes" and "Leisure" packs are available in English, Welsh,
French and German versions.
 

The smArt Suite
===============

The smArt suite consists of a set of packages which are available as
separate items:

1. smArt - the smArt application with 26 example files

2. smArt files - individual packs containing files of a thematic nature

3. smArtFiler - an application allowing you to create your own smArt files


Note You cannot use smArt files unless you have the smArt application.
