The registered versions of Addr_Book uses a special file called
'Ab_reg'. This contains the encrypted name of the registered user
and, when present in the application directory, it disables the
'start-up' message.

This file is for the personal use of registered users only. You
can pass on copies of Addr_Book to your friends BUT NOT THIS FILE.

See the appropriate section in the Manual for details.

Special Note -- There is a bug in the Virus Protection module 'VProtect'
which is part of the !Killer package from Pineapple Software. This
'chops off' command line parameters passed to Modules when they are
loaded. If you have VProtect loaded when Address Book is loaded with a
filename on the command line then Address Book won't have the filename
passed to it. This is NOT a problem with Address Book but a fault in
VProtect. The problem has ben reported to Pineapple and will be
corrected so by the time you read this the fault may no longer exist.
