 !WasteBin v1.00 (c) LOOKsystems 1990
 ---------------

This application was written to provide an Apple
Macintosh style dustbin for the RISC OS desktop.

 How it works
 ------------

Inside the !WasteBin directory is another directory
called 'Rubbish'. When a file is dragged into the
waste bin, the program will attempt to rename the
 file into the bin.

If the file is locked it will be unlocked so that
the file can be moved and or deleted.

If the file that is being dragged is on a different
media, then the file will copied onto the media from
which the wastebin was run and then deleted from the
 original media.

Because of the 'rename' stratergy and the fact that
the wastebin keep as copy of the files in its own
directory the program will be of most use to hard disc
 owners.

I hope to put an option on so that the bin can be either
a bin or an incinerator i.e. it just unlocks and deletes
files that are dragged onto it. This would be more
 useful for floppy disc owners.

 Using !WasteBin
 ---------------

Once the !WasteBin has been run the it will install
itself on the left handside of the iconbar.

If you click on the iconbar with the SELECT button a
window will open with the contents of the bin being
 displayed.

This window behaves just like a filer window allowing
you to select files (or several files using the ADJUST
button) and then either drag them back onto the disk or
delete them from the bin by selecting the relevant
 menu item.

If you click the MENU button while the pointer is over
wastebin icon you can alter the 'move' and 'delete'
options of the bin e.g. confirm, verbose, etc. These
choices can be permenantly saved by selecting the
 'Save Options' menu item.

The bin can be completely emptied by selecting the
'Empty Bin' option from either menu.
