To activate the CFSCopier double click
on the application icon. A blue CFS icon
will appear on the left of the icon bar.

To unpack an object drag it to this
icon.

To pack an object first click with the
Selecet button on the CFS Copier icon.
This will cause the icon to turn red
and say Pack. Now if you drag an
object to this icon it will be packed.

If the Monitor window is open you can
drag the objects to this window, it has
the same effect as if you had dragged
it to the icon on the icon bar.

The Select button toggles between
UnPack and Pack.

The adjust button brings up the monitor
and resets the counts to zero.

The menu button provides a normal menu
containing Info, Monitor, Target and Quit
This menu can be obtained from the icon on
the icon bar or the monitor window.

Info:-

The Info leads to the normal info box and
a manual icon which if selected provides
the access to the I-Manual which displays
the documentation for this application.

Monitor:-

A tick against the monitor will cause
a window to be displayed. This window
monitors the object being packed or
unpacked showing the number of bytes
and percentage space change.

To bring up the monitor use adjust on
the CFSCopier icon on the icon bar.
The monitor will automaticly come up
if ticked.

Although it is nice to have the
monitor the process of packing and
unpacking is considerable slower than
when it is being used.

The monitor display also contains
a button labeled Target. When selected
a save box pops up. This save box can
be dragged to the target location for
any a pack or unpack. This is rarely
required as normally the processing
takes place in situ. ie. The same place.

Target:-

When the Target menu item is selected
a tick will appear against target and
a save box will pop up. Drag the save
box to the target location for an
unpack or pack.
If you do not want a target loaction
to be set then close the save box
or select the target menu item again.
By the way, normally unpacking and
packing is done in situ, ie. the same
place. Therefore ou rarely need to use
the target facility. The main reason
for providing it is so you can say
pack an object from a hard disk to a
floppy.

Other point about target:-

1) The target selection in the menu is
the same as the target button on the
monitor. In fact they are always kept
in sync with each other.
2) The target sub menu shows the
location of any target set. This
sub menu will be displayed when ever
you drop the save box onto a filer
window.
3) It does not mater if the ACTUAL
window that you drag the target save box
to is ie. a cfs# window or not. The
deciding factor when using CFSCopier
is the word under the icon on the
icon bar ie. Pack or Unapack.
4) If you set a target to say the
root and then drag an item from the
root, you did NOT need to set the
target therefore it is unset for you.
5)If a target is set but you want
to change it toggle the target menu
item or the button on the monitor.

Quit:-

Quit quits the application in the
normal way.
