!Help for TrackCTRL
---------------------

Congratulations on obtaining your copy of TrackCTRL v.2.00.

This utility once installed on the iconbar will control
a playing soundtracker module in the following ways:-

1) Stereo positions may be set or changed
      (LEFT MOUSE BUTTON = +/-1, RIGHT M. B. = +/-8.)

2) Turn channels ON / OFF (allows progressive build up.)

3) Pause the music.

4) Turn the internal-speaker ON/OFF.

5) Several TrackCTRL windows may be opened together and
by moving the mouse-pointer over a window the stereo
-positions / channels active / freqency of the music
are automatically updated to those of the host.
Two windows with different settings could therefore
be used to create a sudden burst of sound (channels
turned off in one window) or change in pitch etc.

6) v.2.00 UPDATE - clicking the middle button over the
main window will now bring up a pre-set stereo
position menu of useful settings. By clicking the
      - LEFT M. B. the stereo positions of the system are
altered to those of the selected set.
      - You can also change a set for example st2 by
clicking the RIGHT M. B. over the icon st2 - this
updates st2's values to the current on-screen
settings. As well as re-definable banks st1-st6
there are options for Left, Right and Middle -
      non settable.

7) If you want permanent settings then look in file
!RunImage - there is an array near the beginning
which contains all the initial banks values(st's).

8) v. 2.00 also allows a change in pitch to be made
to samples being played. FREQ. UP and FREQ. DOWN
will change the pitch up and down (if you click
on their icons with the LEFT M. B. you get a
      change of +/- 1, RIGHT M. B. you get +/- 4.
RESET will reset the frequency to normal play-rate.
For fast, auto-repeat changing you can use the
numerical icon in the lower section - clicking LEFT
on this gives -1, clicking RIGHT gives +1 (rapido).

- I was gonna have a 'FREQ. OUT'(!) icon but it would be a
bit anti-social to other tasks running simulataneously.

Note : If a channel is turned OFF, the channel icon will
turn white, while ON it is black. This also applies
to the internal-speaker icon.

Bugs
----

a) The PAUSE button only disables sound output, but does
not stop the music playing in the background.

b) WATCH IT! - if you wack up the FREQ. everything else
   running will SLOW DOWN (severely!)

Thanks go to:-

Mark Drayton - for noticing that the PAUSE button doesn't
stop the music playing in the background and the idea of a
'pre-set stereo positions window'- nice one markus.

Peter de Rivaz - (poor lad owns an Amiga!) for suggesting
the steps which each mouse button should give when setting
the stereo-postions (now outdated!).

All programming, graphics, desktop front-end, this rubbish
and initial idea by me (Jez D. Mears.)
