=================================================

Echo is a Digital Delay-Line for use with
the Archimedes sound-system.
It only operates in 4-voice mode and controls
voices 5-8.
Command is passed via channel 5.

The interface allows you to adjust (l-R):

  -Delay time (0..500 msec)
  -Delay time fine adjustment
  -Feedback level
  -Volume
  -Modulation speed.
..................................................
Examples:
1: Phasing can be achieved thus:
   Move the second slider until Time shows 112.
   Move the right (Level) slider until 58/59 shows
   in Level.
   Feedback to 1.
   Modulation slider 1..3.

2: ADT (Automatic Double Tracking):
   Time should be around 300/400
   Level at about 60.
   Feedback at 8.
   Modulation 0.
   For best results move channels 1..4 to
   one side of the stereo image and channels
   5..8 to the other.

3: Fast FM (Honkey Tonk with piano's)
   Time around 150.
   Level at about 59.
   Modulation at 39.
   Feedback at 55.
--------------------------------------------------

SCCB:

'EchoVoice' uses control-block (SCCB) entry 64 to
determine the amount of feedback (0..128) and entry
68 for the modulation frequency (0..128).
(Acorn wants this!)

--------------------------------------------------

NB: Echo eats away a lot of your available cpu-time!
    So unless you have an ARM3-powered machine, it
    will merely be for fun! The desktop is slowed
    down severely!!

===================================================
History:
===================================================
v.1.01, March 21,1991:

      Birth of Echo!

Bugs: Algorythm is really too slow to allow
      for multitasking desktop! Unless you
      had an ARM3 (which I don't!).
      Execution speed drops back to 25%!

V.1.02, April 10, 1991:
      Volume cranked up to allow for realy
      heavy phasing!!!

V.1.03, April 11, 1991:
      Fancy colours and adjustable modulation
      speed! Modulation now independent of
      null-polls!
      !SoftImage added for samples sampled at
      full volume (most are not!!).
      (!RunImage tends to clip full volume samples!)

V.1.04, April 22, 1991:
      Slightly improved throughput. ( +9.6 %).

V.1.05, April 22, 1991:
      Presets added. 72 Presets can now be created
      and recalled at will.
      Randomize added.
      Now gets its filename from TrackerModule.
      Just select the last item in the Save-
      menu to save presets with a name corresponding
      to the tune the trackermodule is playing (if any).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bug?: It seems that when Nick Smiths' PlayerMod plays
      trackervoice-modules, !Echo will not leave
      the desktop properly. This seems to be true
      for a lot of apps by the way, so I don't
      think its my fault!
