                         Convert - Various conversions
                         =============================

                              v 1.01   11-Aug-1992

Instructions
============

This application is a collection of useful (to me anyway) conversion
functions. The idea is not particularly original but I wrote it as I needed
these at work and I wanted to collect them together into a single program.

The program was written in Acorn ANSI 'C' version 4 and requires CLib v3.75
or later. It also requires FPEmulator version 2.80 or later and Simon
Huntingdon's Interface module.

Choosing a Conversion
=====================

Click the MENU button over the Convert window and choose the conversion
required.

Making a Conversion
===================

Dead simple! Just enter the value in the appropriate place and press RETURN.
The contents of either writeable icon can be dragged to another application
(eg Edit).

Conversions
===========

 * Temperature (Farenheit : Celcius)

   Converts temperature between degrees Farenheit and degrees Celcius.

 * Rate of Heat Release (kW : BTU/s)

   Converts rate of heat release between kilowatts and British Thermal Units
   per second.

 * Length (Ft/inches : Metres)

   Converts between imperial and metric length. Imperial measurements must
   be expressed in feet and inches with the appropriate unit given.
     eg. 2' 3" (two feet, three inches)

 * Speed (mph : m/s)

   Converts miles per hour and metres per second.
