FontView
by Keith Vernon

FontView allows you to preview your fonts and compare different sized fonts
in colour on coloured backgrounds. All size and colour changes are made using
the button bar in the main window. Within the main window, two lines of text
will be displayed: the first is the name of the font (including the style),
and the second is a writable line onto which any test text may be entered.

To change the current font click the 'F' icon or the menu button and a list
of the available fonts will be presented. When making selections remember to
use the adjust button to maintain the menu structure.

If you wish to change the displayed character set then a file called
'Characters' is included inside FontView for this purpose. Load the file
'Characters' into Edit and enter your preferred character set. A maximum of
ten lines may be entered, each with 40 characters. Re-save the file
'Characters' and re-run FontView.

You will soon find that not all fonts have a full character set so FontView
can act as a useful early warning of impending problems! (Alternatively, you
may decide to use FontEd, from the Font Designers Toolkit, included on the
RISC User discs 12:5 and 12:6.)
