JavaDraw - Vector drawing in Java

by Peter Naulls

Requires a Java Virtual Machine

JavaDraw is an example of a real application written in Java. In order to be able to run it, you will need a Java Virtual Machine such as Acorn's RISCaf or Peter Naulls' Chockcino. Alternatively, you can use the constituent Java files on another platform for which a JVM is available.

The copy of JavaDraw presented on this disc is the final version, and builds on the previous version by adding working Group and Select buttons.

Of course, this application is far from being a useful drawing program, but we hope that it has at least demonstrated a good range of the concepts involved in writing a full application in Java. Do please use the techniques described in the series to extend and enhance the program yourself. It should provide a useful framework for further experimentation in Java programming, and if you make any particularly useful enhancements, send them in for potential publication.
