Fun Fancy Fonts - from the TrueType Translator

Ray Larabie, Paul Reid, Jesse Wilson

The fonts on this disc were all converted from TrueType originals and are otherwise untouched by human hand; they serve to demonstrate the capabilities of the Electronic Font Foundry's TrueType Translater (reviewed in the magazine), as well as being useful display fonts in their own right.

In order to use the fonts, you will need to copy them into your !Fonts directory (or, if you use a font management utility such as Font Directory Pro, follow your software's instructions). Alternatively, you can view the fonts without installing them by using the FontShow utility from the previous RISC User disc.

The fonts supplied on this disc are as follows:

	Chloreal by Jesse Wilson
	Chlorinar by Jesse Wilson
	CrackMan by Ray Larabie
	Gothikka by Paul Reid
	Invisible Killer	by Paul Reid
	King Richard	by Ray Larabie
	Neurochrome	by Ray Larabie
	Pants Patrol by Ray Larabie

Note that the automatic hinting option provided in the TrueType Translator was not used when creating these fonts, as hinting is of limited use for display fonts such as these, which are intended for use at large point sizes, and would have increased the file size unnecessarily.

The fonts can be examined using a font editor such as Acorn's own FontEd, or a comercial alternative such as Dr Fonty or FontFiend from iSV Products.

Our thanks to the original authors of these fonts for allowing the distribution of their RISC OS conversions.
