Check Date

by RISC User

Check Date is a cunning utility which is ideally suited to being placed in your boot-up sequence. When run, it checks the system clock for obvious inaccuracies, and also updates your system automatically for GMT and BST.

If there are no changes to be made, Check Date does not alert the user in any way, but just exits immediately, so effectively it takes up absolutely no memory.

Check Date will warn you, and attempt to run the Alarm application, when the changeover from GMT to BST (or vice versa) takes place.

Installation
Risc PC and A7000(+) users should just copy the Check Date application into their !Boot.Choices.Boot.Tasks directory. Users of older machines should just run Check Date as an application task during the final stages of their boot-up sequence.

Limitations
Check Date will only work up to (and including) 2001.
Check Date currently cannot be used outside the UK.
