ArkTAB

by Stuart Winter

ArkTAB is a handy utility that monitors Wimp tasks to make sure they're always running. Specify which tasks to watch, and how to reload them, and they will automatically be relaunched if the user quits them. ArkTAB also keeps track of the last time each application was relaunched, and can be made to check that a certain time has passed before it will reload it again.

Using ArkTAB
ArkTAB vaguely resembles the crontab command provided with UNIX. It can be used to check to see if a particular program is running or not. If it isn't found to be running, then it is relaunched.

To set up ArkTAB, load the file !ArkTAB.MonTasks into a text editor (such as Edit, Zap or similar). The default settings supplied with ArkTAB are to monitor Edit and Alarm.

To quit ArkTAB, just select 'Quit' from its menu in the Task Manager.
