Pocket Book Comms and Script - For the Pocket Book

by Mark Moxon

Suitable for use with Acorn Pocket Books and Psion Series 3 machines. An A-Link is required.

The file contained in this directory is a Script file for use on the Pocket Book, and accompanies the Pocket Book Comms and Script article in the magazine.

Running the item from the RISC User menu system opens a directory containing the file, which you will need to transfer to the SCR directory on your Pocket Book's internal disc.

The Cis file requires a modem to work, and is an example script for logging onto Compuserve from New Zealand and England. It will give you an idea about how to expand the example scripts provided in the A-Link to have a better interface for more numbers and options.

It requires two names to be defined:
CisUserName	CIS user number
CisPassword	CIS password

A third optional name is:
CisNumber Telephone number dialled by
			the CisNumber menu option

The source is provided as-is; it works on the Compuserve Pacific network, but is only provided as an example of what you can do.
