StrongHelp 2.03 - The Programmer's Help utility

by Guttorm Vik (FreeWare)

Please note that due to severe space constraints on this month's disc, we have been unable to include the ARM Assembly Manual as described in the magazine and later in this Help file. This manual will be supplied on next month's disc.

Guttorm Vik's StrongHelp is one of the most popular help applications available for RISC OS. It does not provide interactive help in the way that Acorn's Help and David Pilling's Bubble Help operate, but rather provides easy and fast access to information of the sort that one would usually have to look up in a manual; for example, the syntax for a specific SWI call.

The beauty of StrongHelp is that other programmers and users can create their own manuals which can then be accessed with StrongHelp. On this disc you will find two such manuals - the 43K ARM Assembly Manual and the absolutely massive 480K RISC OS SWI Manual, in addition to the latest version of StrongHelp itself, and the StrongHelp manual for creating your own manuals.
