Zip 2000 - Adventure game interpreter

by Kevin Bracey

Zip 2000 is an interpreter for Z-code programs. In plain English, that means if you want to play Infocom interactive
fiction, or games written with the Inform compiler, this is the
program for you.

This item is archived and should be dearchived and placed in a suitable location on your hard disc before being run. Full instructions on how to use the program are contained in the !Help file inside the application within the archive.

Running the item from the RISC User menu system opens the archive. The application directory !Zip2000 should be dragged from the archive to the required location. You will also require several of the Acorn Toolbox modules, and these are supplied elsewhere on this disc.

Elsewhere on this disc are two examples of Z-code games so that you can try out the interpreter. Other games are available, both commercially and in the public domain. Once the Filer has seen the Zip2000 application, the games can be run by double-clicking on their icons.
