Perpetual Calendar - locates any date

by Colin R J Singleton

The Perpetual Calendar enables you to locate any date in the Julian or Gregorian calendars and determine the correct day of the week. It comes in the form of two Draw files, which should be printed out to obtain the calendar.

Running the item from the RISC User menu system opens a directory containing the two Draw files, CalMonths and CalYears. These must be printed back-to-back on A4 paper, sideways, the same way up.
Be patient there is a lot of text in the drawings and Draw is rather slow processing text!

A direct laser system such as LaserDirect or one of the Calligraph printers provides the ideal printing system. Use the highest resolution available.

Folding
Place the sheet with the Month Calendars side uppermost.
Fold and crease twice, as follows:

First fold the left hand edge of the page across to the right so that it lies along
the vertical lines between the October and November calendar panels.

Then fold the right hand edge of the page across to the left so that it just covers
the printed panel containing the Julian Calendar years.

Using the Perpetual Calendar
To find the required Calendar, hold the sheet with one side folded in,
so that some of the Month Calendars are visible alongside the Year lists.

Follow the printed Instructions carefully!
