QuikQuad - quadratic equations generator

by Keith Vernon

QuikQuad generates quadratic equations. To load, click on the icon in the RISC User master menu.

Simply drag a pin to a point on the screen and the equation will be given in the dialogue box. For greater precision click on a pin to select it and use the dialogue box arrows or the cursor keys to manoeuvre it into position.

The 'reciprocal' curve can be obtained by clicking on the 'f(x)<>f(y)' icon ie. to obtain functions of 'x' or 'y' for the coordinate points.

'Reflect' will produce a reflection of the coordinate points about a mid-screen axis so this facility remains mode dependent.

The resultant equation may be transferred to your program using !TextAid transfer or by clicking on 'Pipe and close' whereby the output is placed in a text file ready for transfer. Remember the icon bar can be brought to the front using Shift F12.

The point resolution is controlled by variable 'step%' at line 550 after checking for ARM2 or ARM3. Decimal point accuracy of the equation is controlled by function FNdp at line 2140.
