EuroQuiz - Europe Map Game

by Andrew Boura

EuroQuiz is designed to improve, or test your knowledge of, the locations of countries and capital cities in Europe. To load EuroQuiz click on the RISC User master menu system.

You can configure the game to give you either a country's name, or the capital city of the country to find on the map. The menu attached to the main game window contains the following:

Info
This option will display the usual program info box.

Countries
This option selects country name as the question.

Capitals
This option selects capital cities as the question.

Query
Selecting this option pauses the timer, and your score doesnt change. When you click on a country, a window will appear displaying the country's name and its capital city's name.

Restart game
Clears the percentage correct so far and number of attempts.

Timer
Toggles the timer on/off. Note: when the timer is first turned on, the pause option is automatically selected allowing the user time to prepare to start.

Time allowed
Allows you to set the time allowed to find the country/capital.

Pause
Pauses the timer.

In order to play, simply point the mouse at the country, or the country which contains the capital city you are asked to find, and click with the left mouse button once.

The program keeps track of the percentage of correct answers and your score. Note: if the timer is on, then the shorter the time allowed, the more you score.
