Chess Clock - Chess Game Timer

by James Knight

Chess Clock is an implementation of a game timer for two players (as used in chess matches) in which each player is allocated a total time limit for their turns.

A player's clock runs while it is their turn. When the player has moved they press their key (P or Q) which stops their clock and starts their opponent's clock.

One player uses the P key and the other player uses the Q key. The volume may be adjusted at any time by using the up/down arrow keys.

Running the program with short game times (say 2 minutes) gives an easy-to-understand demonstration showing the total time remaining display reduce as time proceeds.

Game times for the players may be set differently. This feature enables players of different abilities to have a more even match (eg. adult v child games).

An alarm sounds when a player's time has run out, but the clocks continue for convenience.
