FindIcon - Icon Finder

by Colin Cassidy

FindIcon searches your hard disc for occurrences of duplicated icons. These can pose a problem when, for example, an application contains an old/low resolution version of a file type icon. To load FindIcon click on the RISC User Master Menu system.

To use FindIcon, simply drag its icon from the icon bar into a directory on your hard disc (this will usually be the root directory). The program will then search all applications and sub-directories, listing any duplicated icons found. Clicking on an entry will result in the opening of all directories containing tht icon.

What you do then is up to you - you could just ensure that all the icons look the same, or you could delete them all and put a single copy in your boot sequence.
