Text file Displayer

by David Spencer

This is the example program from the Desktop C article in this month's
issue of RISC User. It illustrates the techniques involved in displaying text
in a window on the Desktop. The program automatically loads a
file called Text from the !ShowText directory. To display your
text, change the file's name to Text and copy it into the
!ShowText directory.

IN USE
To install ShowText, either click on its icon in the RISC User Menu
System, or double-click on its icon in the Filer window. Now click Select on
its icon bar icon to open the window containing the text.

ABOUT THE SOURCE CODE
The source code is contained within the 'c' subdirectory of the
the application. This can be opened by holding down shift and
double-clicking on the !Showtext icon in the directory display, then
double-clicking on the c directory that appears in the new filer display.
For information on the various functions in the source code, refer to the
Desktop C article in this month's issue of RISC User.
