Just a Page Two short programs

by David Brinnel and Jimmy Imossi

Running this application opens up a directory viewer containing a Basic program called Chaos and a directory called Lock, both from the Just A Page feature in RISC User magazine (7:3).

CHAOS by David Brinnel
Chaos is a very simple Basic program that produces intriguing patterns from an apparently random process, rather in the style of fractal programs.

LOCK by Jimmy Imossi
The Lock directory contains a utility for providing your Desktop with a simple password facility, which can be used to prevent your computer from being used by others. The reason it is stored in a directory will become apparent as soon as you double-click on it. You will immediately be prompted to enter a password, and pressing Escape to try and cancel it will be entirely useless. The current password is unlock. Note that Lock is case sensitive! As soon as you enter the password, the Lock directory will open, and you will see an application called !Lock. Copy this application into any directory that you want to password protect, and then modify the text file inside the !Lock directory to the password that you want to use. The password should be no longer than 200 characters!

WARNING
Don't forget the password. It is fairly simple to access the directory if you do forget the password. You just need to hold down a certain key when you double-click on the directory to bypass the password protection.
