Cretin    Tetris-style game

With a soundtrack that is sure to drive you mad, and a very impressive scrolling background, Cretin is an excellent implementation of one of the most popular computer games ever written. The aim of the game is very simple. Blocks are falling into a container. You have to ensure that the container is never filled. You do this by filling horizontal rows across the container. As each row is completed, it disappears, and any rows above it drop into the empty row, thus creating space at the top of the container for more blocks. The blocks can be positioned while falling, either by moving them left or right, or by rotating them in either direction.

USING THE PROGRAM
To install Cretin, either click on its icon in the RISC User Menu System, or double-click on its icon in the Filer window. As the game is stored in a compressed file on this disc, a Filer window will then open, containing the actual Cretin game. Double-clicking on this icon will run the game.

Cretin is played using the following keys on the numeric keypad:

Space - Start the game
4 - Move left
6 - Move right
8 - Rotate clockwise
5 - Rotate anti-clockwise
2 - Drop block
Shift - Toggle moving background on/off
Escape - Return to the Desktop

To disable the music, press F12 before you run the game, and type
*Audio off at the command line. When you have returned to the
Desktop, press F12 and type *Audio on to restore the computer's
sound.
