HOW TO USE THIS APPLICATION
This application can be used to control all the programs on this disc. Selections may be made on all icons appearing in this viewer, and by using the tool bar at the top of this window.

The first icon in the tool bar takes you to the Master Menu. From the Master Menu you may click on an application's icon to run it, or on an Info icon for information about it (you are advised to read about each application before running it).

The Left and Right tool bar icons take you backwards and forwards through the menu, giving information about each entry in turn.

The Up icon takes you to the top of the current text.

The F icon toggles between the use of outline fonts and the system font for all pages apart from the Master Menu itself. If you are using a low resolution monitor you may find the system font easier to read. If you do not have RISC OS 3 this option will be greyed out, and all help pages will be displayed in the system font.

RUNNING AN APPLICATION
Applications may be run by clicking on their icon in the Master Menu or in the corresponding information viewer.

Note that if you click with Adjust, the viewer will be closed prior to running the application.

Each application is complete in its own right, and may alternatively be run in the usual way by double-clicking on its icon in a directory viewer.

Help may also be obtained at any time by clicking Menu over an application's icon in the directory viewer, and choosing the Help option from the App. xxxx submenu. This will result in the help text being loaded into Edit (assuming that Edit's icon has been 'seen' first).

The entire disc may be copied to another disc, a hard disc or a network by simply dragging all of the applications (including this one) to the relevant directory viewer. But such copying must be for the sole use of the purchaser.

COMPRESSED APPLICATIONS
We have had to compress certain applications in order to fit them on this disc. We hope that we have made the decompression process as transparent as possible for you, but if you have any problems decompressing either Boffin or PCFiles, you can decompress them manually as follows: Hold down the Shift key and double-click on Boffin and PCFiles. Double-click on ArcFS in the PCFiles directory, and drag the Boffin and PCFiles archive icons onto the ArcFS icon on the icon bar. This will open the archives, and you will then be able to copy the contents of the archives onto another disc or your hard drive. Note that you cannot run Boffin from inside the archive.

REMOVING CONTROL CODES
If you wish to remove the control codes from any of the Help files used with this menu system, simply drag them to the Master Menu icon on the icon bar, and make use of the Save box which appears. This will be useful if you are making a stand-alone copy of any of the items on the disc. But remember that if you overwrite the original Help file, the outline font codes used by the Master Menu will be lost next time you run it.
