Tracker Keyboard for SoundTracker tunes

by Jonathan Hunt

Tracker Keyboard is the first of two music items on this disc. It is designed to work with SoundTracker tunes, and provides an attractive accompaniment to Tracker Bars. It will "play" any SoundTracker tune on a piano keyboard, which has 3D keys that depress as the tune is played. You can run any number of copies of the program at the same time, with each keyboard playing a different track.

USING Tracker Keyboard
Running Tracker Keyboard will first load the public domain module PlayerMod, which is located inside the !Tunes.files directory, and will then install the Tracker Keyboard icon on the icon bar. Click on this icon to open the Keyboard window and the double-click on a SoundTracker tune to start it playing.

THE MENU
Clicking Menu over this window will open up a menu listing eight voices, of which the bottom four will usually be greyed out, as there are not very many 8-track SoundTracker tunes available yet. If no SoundTracker tune is loaded, all the voices will be greyed out. Using this menu, you can see indiviual voices played on the keyboard. As you can have more than one Keyboard loaded at the same time, you can have a separate keyboard for each voice in the SoundTracker tune.

NOTE
If you copy Tracker Keyboard onto another disc or hard drive, remember to copy the !Tune directory as well, as Tracker Keyboard looks for the PlayerMod module inside it.
