Creating Draw Files from Basic: Ellipses
by Keith Vernon

NOTE: To ensure that you have enough space free to create the demonstration Draw files, you should copy all the files displayed by running this application into a RAM disc or onto another disc. If you do not, there may not be room on this disc to create the files.

Running this application opens a directory containing a number of programs and an Obey file. The file !RunMe should be run first (by double-clicking on it) to set the system variable CDraw$Dir to point to the directory containing the library.

The Basic programs consist of CDraw (a library program containing the CDraw routines, as well as the new ellipse routine), and five demo programs (BandsDemo, ConeDemo, ToroidDemo, Demo1 and Demo2). When any of the five demo programs are run, they use the routines in CDraw to create a Draw file in the directory displayed.

The techniques used to create the Draw file are described in the articles in RISC User 5:5, 5:6, 5:8 and 6:3.
