This application provides information on all the applications on the RISC User Magazine Disc. Double clicking on the RU icon in a directory viewer starts this application and opens the directory viewer for the disc. The application has two windows; the menu window, which lists all of the programs on the disc, and the text window which displays information on a selected program.

To obtain information on an application, either click on the program's title (in black) in the menu window, or double click on its icon in the directory viewer with the Alt key depressed. To obtain this page, click on 'RISC User Program Information' (in blue) at the top of the menu window. To run a program, either click on the application name (in red) next to its title in the Menu window, or double-click on its icon in the directory viewer.

Clicking the Menu button on the 'RU' icon on the icon bar pops up a menu allowing the windows to be opened and closed. Also, the text window is reopened whenever information is requested on a file. The text window can be resized to any sensible width, and text is automatically reformatted to fit the window.

When this application is not running, help can be obtained by clicking Menu over an application's icon in the directory viewer and choosing the 'Help' option from the App. 'xxxx' submenu. This will result in the help text being loaded into Edit (assuming that Edit's icon has been 'seen' first).

The entire disc can be copied to another disc, a hard disc or a network by simply dragging all of the applications (including this one) to the relevant directory viewer.

This application can be used with any collection of applications, not just those on this disc. It will display information on any applications that are in the same directory as itself, provided that the application's name has been entered in the file !!RiscUser.ProgData (with the correct case and without the '!'), and the application contains a text file of the correct format entitled '!Help'. The menu window will list the applications in the order that they are declared in the ProgData file.
