TextPlate Form Displayer
by Kell Gatherer

This set of Basic routines complements the Forms Designer which was published in RISC User 4:9 (September 1991). They permit a Basic program to print out a form or table using the IBM graphics character set available in most printers.

In the first instance the Forms Designer (which is included on this disc) should be used to produce a text template - a "textplate" - which has all the rules and boxes in the desired places, and space allocated for text "fields". The Basic program loads this "textplate" and inserts new text into the fields, left aligned, centred or right aligned as desired.

The TextPlate routine is inside the !TextPlate directory, and may be installed as a LIBRARY routine into your own program. Double-clicking on !TextPlate runs the program "Demo" which illustrates its use. Inside the !TextPlate directory (hold down Shift and double-click) is an application called !ReadMe which fully describes the use of the routine.
