Giant File Reader
by Kell Gatherer

This application permits the restoration of large files saved onto floppy by the RISC User GiantFile application.

When GiantRead is run, it installs an icon on the icon bar. Only a file which has been saved using GiantFile can be restored to the hard disc. Drag the !Giant icon onto the icon bar icon, and GiantRead will read information on the restore. At this point you can do any of the following:
a) change the file's type: click on the 'File type' box, amend the contents and hit Return.
b) save the file to its original full pathname by clicking on 'Restore'
c) change the destination filename in the 'Save to' box, then click on 'Restore'
d) drag the file's icon to the directory of your choice, in which case the leafname in the 'Save to' box is used.

Although the application is multi-tasking, it hogs much of the processor's time during file operations, so it is possible to halt the transfer temporarily by clicking on the 'Pause' icon: resume transfer by clicking on the icon a second time.
