Additional Tunes for Maestro
by Carol Cooper, Brian Turnbull and Ben Avison

When run, this program will catalogue the directory !Music.Tunes, which
contains a number of Maestro files. Within this directory is an application
called AutoPlay, which will enable you to play any of the tunes without
loading Maestro.

When run, AutoPlay places an icon on the icon bar. Dragging any Maestro file
(type &AF1) to this icon will result in the tune being played. The
application is multi-tasking, so you can play tunes while you are performing
other tasks. It works by sending one complete bar to the sound channel
during poll loops. This means that if you are performing a task which
temporarily takes over the processor, such as extended disc operations, the
tune will pause at the end of the next bar until the processor is free
again.

Clicking Menu over the icon bar icon displays a menu with three options.
Info and Quit perform their usual functions, while Stop halts the current
tune, if one is playing (if not, this option is greyed out). Again, the tune
will stop at the end of the next bar.

All the tunes on this disc can of course be loaded into Maestro, which is
supplied on Acorn's Applications disc 2.

The tunes are:

Kyrie Mozart Requiem
Master Bach Peasant Cantata
Nocturne Chopin Nocturnes
CoopSonata by Carol Cooper
HndSonataG Handel's Sonata in G

Kyrie, Master and Nocturne are transcribed by Brian Turnbull. HndSonataG is
transcribed by Ben Avison.
