Extend Virus Inoculator

Note: This program is public domain, and may therefore be freely distributed. However this also means that we are unable to provide technical support such as bug fixes and updates.

This program scans discs for the Extend computer virus, and optionally 'inoculates' applications against it. When run, the program adds an icon to the icon bar. Clicking Menu over this icon displays a menu containing the usual Info and Quit options.

Clicking Select over the icon opens the main program window. Clicking Select on the Filing System icon cycles through the currently available filing systems. The Drive icons allow a drive to be selected. Available drives are represented by a yellow and black icon.

Clicking Select on the Innoculate During Scan icon toggles inoculation on or off. If inoculation is turned on, then any applications found during the scan will have their !Boot files modified (or one created if necessary) to fool the virus into thinking that the application has already been infected.

The scan is started by clicking Select on the Start Drive Scan icon. During the scan, the icon will be changed to read Stop Drive Scan, and clicking Select on it will terminate the scan.
