System Font Editor
by Mike Ironmonger

This program allows system fonts to be designed. When run, it reads the current system font and adds an icon to the icon bar. Clicking Menu over this icon displays a menu containing the usual Info and Quit options.

Clicking Select over the icon bar icon opens the main window. Clicking Menu over this window displays a menu containing two options. Save leads to the usual 'Save as:' dialogue box, while choosing Default will reset the character set being edited to the current system font. Dragging a font file (type &ff7) to the main window (or to the icon bar) results in any characters defined in the file replacing those in the editor.

Double clicking on a character in the main window results in a window being opened allowing that character to be edited. Clicking Select over a pixel makes that pixel black, while clicking Adjust over a pixel makes it white. Dragging a font file to a character window causes that character to be redefined, provided the file contains a definition for that character.

Clicking Menu over a character window displays a menu containing five options. ' flip' flips the character about a vertical axis, while ' flip' flips the character about a horizontal axis. Invert turns all black pixels white and vice-versa. Clear sets all pixels to white, and Default sets the character to the same character from the current system font.
