Desktop Dustbin
by Ben Moseley

This program adds a dustbin icon to the left hand side of the icon bar. Dragging files or directories to this icon results in the files or directories being copied to the directory RAM:$.Bin on the RAM disc, and then deleted. If there is no RAM disc, the icon is greyed out. Clicking Select on the icon results in a directory viewer being opened for RAM:$.Bin. The advantage of a RAM disc based bin is that a RAM disc is always present, so it is not necessary to insert a particular floppy disc in order to delete files using the bin.

If the bin contains any files or directories, the icon is changed to a bulging bin. The bin can be emptied by choosing the Empty bin option from the menu. The other options on the menu are Warnings, which prompts for confirmation before emptying the bin, and Force which causes the file or directory to be deleted regardless of whether or not it is locked. The menu also has the usual Info and Quit options.

Attempting to delete a file or directory that is too big to fit into the RAM disc will cause a 'Disc full' error.
