International Character Sets
by Glynn Clements

Note: This program needs the system resources, so a directory viewer containing !System must have been opened first. This must contain version 3.50 of the shared C library and version 2.80 of the floating point emulator. These files are contained within the !System application supplied on this disc.

When run, the program opens a window containing the current alphabet, with the alphabet name (probably Latin1) as the window title. The menu for this window allows the alphabet to be changed to any of the six resident alphabets (Latin1-4, Greek or BFont). Closing the window terminates the program.

Note that the BFont alphabet defines characters 128-160, which are used by the Wimp for the window control icons. To cure this problem, these characters are saved at the start of the program, and restored whenever the alphabet is changed. The result is that the BFont characters 128-160 cannot be viewed. This is not really a problem as BFont exists solely for backwards compatibility with the Master series, and is not to be used in any new software.
