    ChaosHS, 1.00 (11-Aug-1998)

    Introduction

ChaosHS is a highscores file editor for Spheres of Chaos. It does
not offer any form of sorting, so please attempt to keep your
highscores in order yourself and do not go adding larger scores
    below smaller ones.

In use, it is quite simple. Double-click it to run it. It will
present you with a list of the current 99 highscores which you
are free to edit, as well as a toolbar. The toolbar has the
buttons which will: "Save" your amended list; "Reload" the saved
version; "Sort" the list (automatically done on Save) ;display
file "Info"; run "Chaos!"; and "Quit" the program.

    Installation

Copy the supplied !Boot file into the !Chaos folder.

To do this, shift-double-click on the !Chaos icon and then drag
the new !Boot file into the window that opened. Then run the
    !Boot file.

This will ensure that !Chaos sets up a path to itself when it is
seen, so that ChaosHS knows where to look for the highscores file.

    How to Use

Make sure you've done as above, and then run !ChaosHS.

A window will open with 5 buttons down the side and a scrollable
list of highscores. One piece of advice now: Don't get the scores
out of order. ChaosHS does not sort the scores as of yet. That
will happen in a near future version.

Edit the scores as you wish and then click on Save. The Chaos!
    button will run !Chaos.

    The file format

The Highscores file format is quite simple.

            +00 word containing score
            +04 3 words containing text
            +12 next score word
            +16 and so on...
