This program was written partly as a response to the request on the
Public Domain pages in AU168 (P21) and partly because after I had read the
request I realised how useful such a program would be.
Basically what it does is boots applications. Wow, amazing I hear you
cry. After all just open their directory window and filer will do it for
you. Well what if youve Ctrl-opened a directory and wish to boot its
applications, or if you know that the little used utility that processes file
type &EAF files is somewhere within the labarinthine maze of subdirectories
of your Utilities directory but dont want to have to open them all. Or if
you want to make an obeyfile which boots all the applications on (a part of)
uour harddisc. Well if this is the case this application is for you!
	How do I use it?
Drag the directory whose applications you wish to recursivly boot to
the bootup icon on the iconbar. Or the application you want to boot. Or
drag the iconbar icon to the directory you wish to boot up.
It will then boot them up. The hourglass is displayed whilst the
program is working but not whilst the applications are actually booting
(which is queued by the WIMP).
If the Obeyfile option on the iconbar menu is selected then when a
boot is initialised it will prompt you with a save box. When this has found
a legitimate target (e.g. Edit, Zap, a directory display) the boot up will
start.
This obeyfile will contain a number of lines saying Filer_Boot XXXX.

Technical Bit.
--------------
I tried to get it to redraw the screen after the boot up but it kept
redrawing before the files actually booted (QUEUED!).
The app uses 48K. This can be reduced to 32K if you have a short
directory tree.
Feel free to modify the Messages files (35=RO35+ 20=pre-RO35)
This may work on RO300, or even RO2 but I dont know so it only
recognises WindowManager 310+.
The app itself doesnt use Filer_Boot as this doent always work for
some reason.
The Savebox is as near as I can get to the format in the Style Guide.
Feel free to use it in your programmes.
Feel free to use my libraries too (so long as they follow the rules
for PD (i.e. no putting them in a comercial programme without giving me a cut
and dont forget to acknowledge me as author of the libraries), that is if
you can figure them out. I have an ideosyncratic form of programming!

Copyright Bit.
--------------
The Author (Jonathan Amery) accepts no responsibility for anything
this program does. It is supplied in the hope that it will do the same
things on the users system as it does on mine and that is all I can
guarentee that it will do (i.e. that it does on my system what it does on my
system if it is being run on my system)
Having said this I do not think that it will do anything strange or
detremental, but some people can get anything to do damage to their system so
I cannot accept responsibility.

This product is "Postcardware" and may not be distributed for a profit.
Postcardware is basically the same as Freeware/PD but a) I retain the copyright, b) If you use this often/like it then you should send me a postcard with your name and address and the name of this programme (!BootUp) on the back. (So I can track distribution and also because I collect postcards.)
