Hi folks... Developer News 25/03/97 NetStation (yet again) ---------- Assorted hackery later, I now have my NetStation booting. Thanks to the work of Paul Walker at Desktop Projects, I now also have a reliable method of circumventing the Smartcard checks; this has been documented in a new version of http://www.art.acorn.co.uk/SALES/DEVELOPERS/resource/reference/nc/dwbootdoc.arc (Spark-archived Impression Style doc) and http://www.art.acorn.co.uk/SALES/DEVELOPERS/resource/reference/nc/dwbootdoc.ps (EPS), which now doesn't need disclaiming quite so heavily! My next job is to persuade selected RISC OS applications to run on the system; a new appnote detailing the hooks required in the server-side boot sequence to do this and the places to put them will be written as and when I figure it out. New Products, New Prices ------------------------ A new Developer price list exists, detailing the prices of the new range of StrongARM-equipped Risc PCs and the new AKF93 monitor. I intend to get this extracted from the records system and into plaintext for upload tomorrow to the usual place (http://www.art.acorn.co.uk/SALES/DEVELOPERS/resource/docs/sales/prices.txt ) tomorrow. Information on the new hard disc image supplied with these machines (and a copy of it, with a bit of luck) will follow shortly. Cheers, Dave
