Hi folks... Developer News 21/03/97 Netstation (again) ---------- The site now contains some disclaimered-to-the-moon-and-back-again preliminary documentation on how to set a server up so that it can bootstrap a NetStation; you can find this as http://www.art.acorn.co.uk/SALES/DEVELOPERS/resource/reference/nc/dwbootdoc.arc (Spark-archived Impression Style doc) or http://www.art.acorn.co.uk/SALES/DEVELOPERS/resource/reference/nc/dwbootdoc.ps (EPS). I do not guarantee that this documentation will give you all the information needed to bring a NetStation fully to life, but it should help you get a great deal of the way there; as I continue to sort things out and generally explore at this end, anything useful I find will be added. As some information contained in the docs is sensitive (particularly how to go about bypassing the smartcard checks), this documentation is strictly developer confidential. Also the file http://www.art.acorn.co.uk/SALES/DEVELOPERS/resource/reference/nc/read1st.txt has been written; this details ongoing issues and any problems with the bootstrap archive. to begin with, those of you who have downloaded the archive should, Once you have decompressed it, examine the boot/!NFSBoot/RunEther,feb file and remove the reference to MovieFS (otherwise the system will complain that MovieFS can't be found). Cheers, Dave
