Hi folks... Developer News 27/01/97 NetStations ----------- As promised, here's the order codes and pricing info for NetStation. I have obtained clearance from the Products guys for you to start ordering these as of today; as usual, use the order form available on the Developer site (http://www.art.acorn.co.uk/SALES/DEVELOPERS/resource/docs/sales/form.arc or form.ps) and submit cheque with order. You'll need to add VAT to the prices below; all this, plus some other changes, will be integrated into a new price list to be made available (hopefully) next week. Order Code Desc Price TNS10 Modem version 349.00 exc VAT TNS11 Ethernet version 349.00 exc VAT Please note that the Ethernet version is *not* CE approved currently, and is therefore shippable as an evaluation and development system only. The docs for configuring the server-side boot system are currently being worked on; more info as it becomes available. A Moving Experience (and my resulting absence) ------------------- If all goes to schedule, I'll be out, about, and generally unavailable for two weeks ending around the end of next month. The reason for this is that I'm taking a fortnight off in order to move house (I've just bought my first one), and the reason for the "if all goes to schedule" caveat is that the builders haven't quite finished it yet! As there's only me plus whichever removals firm I hire to help pack and shift lots of books, 30-something computers and some pretty heavyweight hi-fi from Cambridge to Huntingdon, having arranged and supervised disconnection and reconnection of services and delivery and fitting of carpets, blinds and furnishings beforehand, I figure that it's all too much to do in a week. During this fortnight, cover for Developer Support has been arranged; the ISVQuery mail alias will be picked up and split between Kevin Lingley (Dealer Support) for the not-so-technical queries and Neil Bingham (Software Engineering) for the really technical queries. Both these guys have effectively committed themselves to doing overtime to cover for me, so if possible please go easy on them; before I disappear, I'll be doing my utmost to clear as many outstanding issues as possible. During this two-week period, the direct telephone line will be replaced with a message stating that I'm not in. Cheers, Dave
